Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Unquilt ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the Game. These terms govern your use of the Game and the GameZone platform, both operated by Hampton Makes, a software development entity owned and operated by Hampton Lintorn-Catlin.

2. Your Account

Upon first launching Unquilt, an anonymous account is created automatically. No personal information is required to play. You may optionally link a phone number via Firebase authentication to enable cross-device play, allowing you to access your account and progress from multiple devices. This is entirely at your discretion.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If you are using an anonymous account and lose access to your device, Hampton Makes may be unable to recover your data, as no identifying information is associated with anonymous accounts.

3. In-App Purchases

Unquilt offers optional in-app purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by Hampton Makes, and are subject to the respective terms and refund policies of those platforms.

We verify purchase receipts with Apple and Google to fulfill purchased items, but we do not handle or store payment information. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as Hampton Makes does not have the ability to process refunds on behalf of those platforms.

4. Advertising

Unquilt may display optional Google AdMob rewarded ads on iOS and Android. Users may choose to watch a short video advertisement in exchange for in-game rewards. These advertisements are never mandatory. By viewing a rewarded ad, you consent to Google's data collection practices as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

5. User Conduct

Hampton Makes is committed to maintaining a respectful and fair environment within Unquilt. When using the Game, you agree not to:

• Use offensive display names. Display names are automatically filtered for profanity. Attempts to circumvent the filter may result in a name reset or account suspension at our sole discretion.
• Cheat or manipulate scores. The use of modified clients, bots, exploits, or any other means to submit fraudulent scores or gain an unfair advantage is prohibited.
• Abuse the service. Any attempt to disrupt the server, reverse-engineer the API, or interfere with other players' experience is strictly prohibited.

6. Leaderboards

Leaderboards are an integral feature of Unquilt. Your display name and scores are publicly visible to all players. By using the Game, you consent to this public display.

Hampton Makes reserves the right to remove, without prior notice, any scores that appear to be fraudulent, manipulated, or submitted through exploits. Maintaining fair play is essential to the integrity of the Game.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in Unquilt — including but not limited to the game design, artwork, puzzles, themes, sounds, and code — is the property of Hampton Makes and its owner, Hampton Lintorn-Catlin. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Game for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on any part of the Game without prior written permission from Hampton Makes.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app's settings. This constitutes a permanent, irreversible hard delete — all associated data, including scores, purchase records, and account information, is completely removed from our servers. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion by contacting us at hampton@hamptonmakes.com, and we will process your request.

9. Termination

Hampton Makes reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, engage in cheating, or otherwise abuse the service. We will exercise this right in a reasonable manner and only when necessary to protect the Game and its user community.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Unquilt is provided "as is" and "as available." Hampton Makes endeavors to maintain reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We shall not be liable for:

• Lost data, scores, or purchases due to technical issues.
• Downtime or server outages.
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Hampton Makes for any claim arising from or related to the Game shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Hampton Makes in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Significant changes will be communicated through the app where feasible. Your continued use of Unquilt after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
